3/366

It's only day 3 and I've already come to the conclusion that it is going to be hard to stick to just one photo per day. So once again today you get to see TWO pics! Of course the subjects, as will be typical, are my boys!

Today we had playgroup with the spouses club. We went to a local place called The Watermelon Patch  Logan (and Landon when he isn't in school), always has a blast there. Today one of the older boys he is friends with was there because his PreK program doesn't start back until tomorrow. He was extra worn out! None of my kids have ever been the ones that you see passed out in their high chair, exersaucer, etc. They've always just slept in the typical places--their crib or bed and sometimes car seats. When Landon went to kindergarten it meant naps also stopped for Logan (ugh). He refuses to be up there without Landon (they share a room). I cannot spend forever trying to get him to nap because I have a baby who needs me also! So we've adjusted by bumping bedtime up an hour (when extra curricular activities permit), and it's worked pretty well for all. There are a few instances where Logan will fall asleep on the couch or floor while watching TV. A part of me inside jumps for joy at that. Today was one of those days where Logan sacked out, and hard at that! He's slept through Keighan's screeching, Landon's excitement over his Snap Circuits, and my banging around in the kitchen. (Yes, I'm multi-tasking right now with the laptop next to the stove.) I certainly don't think this could have been comfortable at all so after this shot I moved him so he was laying down instead and he still is sleeping now!

Landon's birthday was last week. We tend to do more fun and games for Christmas and try to get on the educational (yet still fun!) side of things for birthdays since L1 and L2 have birthdays so close to Christmas. One of the things we got him was Snap Circuits Jr.  I've heard from several friends with boys older than mine how much they enjoyed these so I've kept that in the back of my mind for a year or so now and decided to give them a whirl at age 6. He loves them! Today (after getting home from the dentist...notice his stickers), he set to work making some. This particular one had a light come on and this little spinner thingy fly off. Like my scientific terms? The Snap Circuits are a total hit. I'm sure over the coming months/years we'll graduate to more advanced kits.
